Sooo... this week I was looking for holiday cocktail recipes and I kinda gave up because I wasn't finding anything special... until today! While clicking through the new holiday issue of Sweet Paul magazine, I came across a great feature on winter cocktails. They look so yummy, I can't wait to try them out!

I think about how awesome it would have been to hang around the NYC Manic Panic boutique, opened by the legendary punk rock sisters Tish and Snooky in 1977. The shop was frequented by all the greats during that time...The Dictators, the Dolls, Sid and Nancy, Dead Boys, the Stranglers, the Cramps, the Ramones... I think these women are such an inspiration.. they are artists, they do what they love, and they are true to themselves... and ohyea, they even sang backup for Blondie for a year in the mid-seventies..

I haven't blogged in a while.. I guess I've been busy making my birthday last all week(ha!)..I got some cool gifts, and I wanted to share a couple in particular...

First is this custom handmade Pee-Wee Herman embroidery from Karla!!!!! She is so amazing! We both share a love for my favorite character Pee-Wee and she came up with this custom portrait embroidery for me! I love it!

Next is a beautiful handmade papel picado custom panel for me by the very talented Linda. If you click on the link and check out her blog, you can see the process that goes in to making these banners.. it's pretty awesome!! :)
